Activated Space

Space is not simply given. It is activated.

Space is generated through the relationships between what is placed.

Sometimes a single small placement is enough. The surface is then full, even though much of it remains unoccupied. What matters is not quantity, but relationship.

While working, I perceive this emerging space. I experience myself not only as the one who creates it. For a moment, it becomes possible to experience that I myself am space. This experience in turn changes the perception of space. Each individual sheet is a variation of this being-space and, with it, a gateway to that experience.
